Bruce Leonard
Bruce Leonard grew up in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. and served as a VISTA volunteer (Volunteers in Service to America) in Honolulu, Hawaii. He received a master’s degree in public health from the University of Hawaii.
He retired as a Captain in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps where he worked for both the Indian Health Service and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He continues his career in health promotion as an instructor at Georgia Gwinnett College. He and his Hawaiian born wife Carol have been married since 1978 and have two children, Allison and Eason.
