Don Boyce
C.O.L. “Don” Boyce was born and raised in Maryland. He attended Rutgers – The State University in New Brunswick, NJ where he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, Medical Service Corps, upon graduation. He led training companies for Advanced Individual Training to become medical corpsmen at Ft. Sam Houston, TX. He deployed to Vietnam in July 1970 and served at the 91st Evac Hospital in Chu Lai until his DEROS in 1971. Afterwards, he obtained a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, on the GI Bill and pursued a career in industry applying enzymes for industrial processing solutions. During his employment years he and his family resided in New York state, Denmark, England, and North Carolina. He is married and has four grown children.
