Hermann Gammeter
Born and reared in Switzerland, after watching good ole American westerns Hermann yearned to visit the fabled land of “milk and honey” and daydreamed of riding horses and seeing real live cowboys and Indians. As you will see from this book, he was able to realize his dreams and not only visit America but ultimately become a citizen. From a Private in the Swiss Army to Sr. Vice President of the European, Middle Eastern, and African Division of an international hotel chain, his early apprenticeship as a chef eventually enabled him to fulfill each of the lofty goals he continuously set for himself. His love of this country continued to grow because it was so good to him.
