John F. Cosgrove
Dr. Cosgrove is the founder and CEO of The Leadership Workshop, LLC, owns a financial business, and is philanthropically involved in his church and the local nonprofit community. He is the father of two daughters and the grandfather of 6 grandchildren. He currently lives in Ooltewah, Tennessee with his wife Trish.
Dr. Cosgrove attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and earned a commission as an officer in the United States Army. While in the service he commanded a company in the Presidential Honor Guard, distinguished himself as an Airborne Ranger Infantry officer, and earned a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin. He further distinguished himself as the distinguished honor graduate of the United States Army Ranger School of which has been argued as the most difficult school in the Armed Forces.
Upon leaving the service Dr. Cosgrove entered the business sector as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. He was eventually appointed as a director and managed a large region in the central part of the country. Twice Dr. Cosgrove was recognized as the best manager in the Merrill Lynch system. Upon leaving Merrill Lynch he became the President of Mellon Bank Financial Advisors followed by being appointed as a Senior Vice President for UBS.
Upon leaving the corporate sector Dr. Cosgrove founded several businesses to include the Leadership Workshop, LLC. He enrolled at Andrews University and earned a PhD in Leadership and wrote and published articles on leadership. Today Dr. Cosgrove travels all over the world talking on leadership and moderating leadership workshop with the hope of improving leadership in our communities.
