Leslie Strecker
Leslie Strecker's life was shaped by the love and hard work of her parents, Dee and Henry Strecker. They had very little in material possessions but evidenced much more happiness in daily life than many others. They dedicated themselves to participating in their children's lives, with talks around the kitchen table about history, nature, astronomy, reading classics and opening every door they could to help Leslie and son Steve grow into adults who wanted to learn every day. Leslie began to write down her father's experiences from World War II with the 4th Infantry Division, starting in sixth grade. Her parents' world is gone, but their memories and time will be remembered. D-Day will remain pivotal in the synchronicity of time, just as are the far distant memories of the Trojan Wars.
