Blessed with perfect parents, Michael Cameron grew up in Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama. His professional background as a copy editor/proofreader has provided him with the ego-fulfilling joy of correcting other people's mistakes, a wretched schadenfreude whose existence he has tried to hide. He hates the smell of cooked rutabagas but loves cats and football while embracing other disparate combinations. Michael's personal history includes what were sometimes desperate bouts with depression and obsession, particularly OCD. He has, in recent years, significantly subdued these oppressive demons. He believes that life is a fleeting gift and well worth living.
