Roger “Ajax” Trueblood is a retired U.S. Air Force intelligence officer, and former CIA analyst, who deployed twice to Southwest Asia and Iraq, in 2004/05 and in 2007. After being part of the 2007 surge and experiencing first-hand the positive effects of the tribal Awakening, he began a long search to understand what he had witnessed. That journey led his research efforts step-by-step back along the Euphrates River Valley where he discovered the amazing story of Al-Qaim and the Marines of 3/2. Today he lives, writes, and hikes in St. George, Utah, among the red rock canyons and picturesque mesas of the desert southwest.
