Before his death, the beloved honorary SGM of the 27th Infantry Regiment, SGM Hugh O'Reilly, started the tradition of "Wolfhound reflections" by constantly urging Wolfhound soldiers to submit their stories, pictures, and memorabilia about their service with the regiment. Stories and pictures came in all forms, many handwritten, which SGM O'Reilly meticulously saved for the Wolfhound archives. Keeping with SGM O'Reilly's dream and with new technology and a laser focus on preserving the story of the OIF 07-09 deployment of 1-27 Infantry to Iraq, this book was created.
